Lexus should cancel the RZ and keep the UX. The UX has outsold the RZ either the first four years of the release of the UX or the last four years before the cancelation.

Sales of the UX:

2018: 453
2019: 16,725
2020: 16,962
2021: 17,581
2022: 10,237
2023: 11,846
2024: 8,877
2025: 8,421
2026: 6,519 YTD sales from January - August 2026
Total: 97,621

Sales of the RZ:

2023: 5,386
2024: 9,697
2025: 6,400
2026: 9,636 YTD sales from January - August 2026
Total: 31,119

The most likely successor to the UX could be a 4.4-4.6m compact BEV crossover that sits below the RZ, limited to the European market only.

Main issue was the boot space for the best drivetrain (Hybrid)... Too small for the segment!

Also, Americans don't really want the overpriced RZ even though it's bigger in size compared to the UX. The UX is at its end of its first-generation life cycle and if Lexus were to make a second generation UX it would probably be a bit bigger and would receive continuous improvements like any next generation Lexus.

The UX is based off the C-HR which currently is a BEV and if Lexus were to make the 2UX as a BEV it would fail in the U.S. just like the BEV 8ES.

As of current, my step-daughter drives our 2011 CT 200h and if or when our CT finally dies my wife wants her to get a UX and now Lexus will discontinue the UX which will most likely steer my step-daughter to the NX. Lexus please keep the UX.
