Model-by-model breakdown for January (retail):
1. ES 4,798 (2,297 Gas + 2,501 Hybrid)
2. RX 3,755 (3,708 Gas + 47 Hybrid)
3. NX 2,377 (2,188 Gas + 189 Hybrid)
4. LX 679
5. CT 588
6. LS 526 (135 Gas + 391 Hybrid)
7. IS 378
8. GS 108 (104 Gas + 4 Hybrid)
9. LC Hybrid 17
10. RC 3
Total 13,229

Both IS and GS are completely dead after 7ES supply caught up. Who would ever thought the LX would become the 4th most sold in their lineup?

Have the sales of UX commenced? What about Germans?

There are no more details about UX sales now.
Bba's(Benz,BMW,Audi) April sales figures have not yet been released, but I guess it's about 50,000 to 60,000 vehicles per manufacturer in this month.

This is big news, can you share an official source for these numbers? I'd like to post about it on the front page.

Sorry, Lexus China only announces sales through media channels in China at present.
autohome.com.cn is China's largest automobile media. Here is the news.

And Lexus China will achieve a cumulative sales of 1 million vehicles in China this month or next month.

Lexus expanded ES capacity by 10% from March so they are finally able to catch up with the huge backlog. Despite of this, a 300h Executive is still four months away if you don't want to pay any mark-up.

It feels like a switch has flipped, and it must be the reduced import tax on Japanese vehicles to China.

Still small potatoes compared to the other luxury manufacturers, but this momentum is only just beginning.

We’re seeing the New World Order through the lens of Lexus right now — the GS shelved in favor of the ES, a $200k minivan, import tax engines, all geared to the Chinese market.

It’s a very different position for the North American consumer, but its one we will have to get used to. It’s hardly a hot take, but China is now the top-tier market for Lexus, with North America second.

(Even then, Europe is the primary market for the UX, and the US-centric release of the LC & LS both produced little in the way of sales.)

Yes, Toyota will produce the NX series in Canada, so that more cars from the Kyushu factory can be sold to China. Now in China, the delivery cycle of ES is too long.
