Yet another manufacturer win for
Lexus. No other brand can match it in our satisfaction survey, with Lexus a perennial favourite among owners.
It ranked first in the interior and comfort stakes, thanks to excellent scores for comfort and quality, while owners also felt their cars are the safest on the market. Reliability and build quality is another Lexus stronghold, with the brand taking the class win. The company’s products place well on running costs, too, ranking an impressive fourth in the sector. The marque’s focus on efficient
hybrids and petrol units is clearly paying off. These same hybrid and petrol units are praised with a second place in the engine and gearbox category, too.
However, if the company wants to repeat this year’s performance in 12 months’ time, it needs to address the infotainment category, where it ranked a lacklustre (by its standards) seventh in 2018.
