Is staggered recommended for Winters?

Do I really need staggered wheel sizes for winter tires on a 2018 IS350 fSport 3? I go down to 17" rims with a larger profile? I know I will lose in performance, but how much performance is anyone really getting in snow and ice...after all I'm in Canada-eh ;-)

I don't have much say when it comes to snow. Atlanta gets snow maybe like for 1 day out of the year and it usually turns ice for us. You don't have to run Staggered snow tires. If you plan to swap them in and out depending on your weather season, I think it will be ok. The speed sensor on the car is rated for what is OEM which could give a slightly different reading if you have a small tire vs a bigger tire. The calculations of speed might be slightly off, but you probably won't be speeding in snow anyways...lol. Well, Do you have an AWD or RWD IS350?

It's AWD. I've spoken to a few people and I should be fine with a higher profile 17" tire. You seem to know Lexus pretty well. Can you tell me why my music won't automatically play from my bluetooth phone unless I load the music app before I get in the car. It's a Samsung S8.

Thanks. I'm a Service Consultant for a Lexus dealership. Been doing it for almost 6 years now. Hmm, I would like to consult my Lexus Technology Specialist. He runs Android and I've been running Apple iOS since 2007 release. I'd prefer to make sure I clear it with him as I'm not a full on expert with Android. I'll be back in the office come Monday and will ask him. In the meantime, what Android OS are you running? I think it's like a food codename, which is pretty cool. :)
