good read with some insights
The QX60 (above) is important to Infiniti. It's 35 to 40 percent of company sales in the U.S., and 400,000 of them have been sold globally since the model was launched. It's what Americans seem to want -- a big (but not huge) SUV with three rows and the ability to tow up to 6,000 pounds.

Is it a vehicle a "car guy" would buy? No. And that's not the way Infiniti (the luxury division of Nissan) plans to market it. ...

There is nothing wrong with an automaker building and selling what its buyers want. If it is what the buyers want and (more importantly) they buy it, it is a good product, even if a "car guy" would not like it.

That is something next level! MDX was a ground up a change while the QX was a heavy refreshment. Nissans product planning team is really opening up on how to work lean and efficiently with their dev budget being dwarfed by the key downtown rivals.

Good Work!

Side note: Motortrend tests at the honda proving grounds forever or is this a new development?
