Head space with pano roof

Hey guys!!! Quick question! Why is the headspace in the rear with the pano roof less then without? In the front it’s a .5 inch less and the rear almost a full inch at .9. It looks good though and I had it as a option for mine.

This is typical and normal with just about any car with a sunroof, moonroof or panoramic roof. The space between the interior headliner and the exterior roof needs to be greater (thicker) when you have an opening roof mechanism or a glass opening "cut" into the metal roof. This naturally comes out of headroom.
