IS is really taking a hit by not refreshing when it should be. Guess UX attracts some of the NX buyers. Don't know what has happened to LS and LC but I guess it's because the German competitors have released a lot of same segment cars recently. The overall feeling is that the Lexus is fall too much behind in regards to tech. They can't sell their car with only craftsmanship and reliability in this price range. The need new cool and wow factor like Tesla's infotainment or assistant driving, and it has to stand out from others.

Lexus has outsold BMW & Mercedes Benz in the USA for the second month in a row, after spending the first six months of the year well behind the competition.
Lexus sales climbed 4.6% in August to 29,931, besting BMW by approximately 4,400 units and Mercedes by 5,160 — here’s a Bloomberg chart detailing 2019 sales:

BMW still leads for the year with 204,960 vehicles sold in the USA, followed by 196,779 for Mercedes and 190,691 for Lexus.

The RX line is very successful and can't think of anything to improve it. There are already a 2 row and 3 row RX and F Sport versions. Maybe introduce an electric version of the RX such as the RX 400e...but how many people will actually purchase an electric RX because of the range? I think the hybrid RX is just fine the way it is.

Agreed. Having recently gotten a factory-new RX as a loaner (I was the first customer to drive it), I think for what it is it's near-perfect. And my middle-aged joints liked getting in and out of it better than my LS. But it's still ultimately a ~$40,000 vehicle, which is why I want to see the LQ or whatever it ends up being called.

Agreed. I attended a Lexus event this past weekend and got a chance to drive the RX 450hL and have to say it was very light on it's feet and felt didn't feel heavy and easy to maneuver. Got a chance to test the automatic reverse brake safety system which will stop the vehicle if someone or something is behind the RX, pretty cool feature.

Lexus sales in Australia were up nearly 30% in August, thanks to record sales of the NX crossover and the introduction of the UX crossover. A total of 817 vehicles were purchased.
The SUV lineup jumped 58.6% over last year, with the mid-size NX up 39.9% at 368 units and the UX selling 145 units. The two are the best selling models in the lineup.
Lexus Australia has now sold 6,373 units so far this year, a 5.2% increase over the same period in 2018.
