Updates around Lexus’ plans for future electric vehicles have been sparse but if a new, unverified report from China is credible, we may now have a clearer look at what to expect over the next two years. The report shows the following timeline with associated model launches:

2025: BEV ES sedan
Mid-2026: Large BEV SUV (TZ?)
2027: “Next generation BEV SUV” (ZL?)
Mid-2027: “Next generation BEV coupe” (RC + LC successor?)

2025: BEV ES ...

What's really strange is the absence of a new UX EV. It's been a strong seller in EU and subcompact is the most important segment there.

The C-HR+ grew from 4360x1795x1565x2640mm to 4520x1870x1595x2750mm. This puts it above the size of the Corolla Cross and almost in the compact class. Basing the new UX on the C-HR+ will solve its biggest problem (lack of space) and give Lexus a strong entry level offering globally. It would even do well in US market.

I'd guess that it just hasn't been announced yet. CHR debuted in 2017; UX debuted not quite a year later in 2018.

That begs the question: Will the next-generation UX be EV-only, or be offered in both HEV and BEV versions? If 2 powertrains are to be offered, will there be 2 different models, a smaller HEV and a larger (longer wheelbase) BEV model?

The RX and RZ aren't the same body but have the same general vibe. I'd probably expect the same out of the UX HEV and UX BEV.
