Mid-month update (something thats never been done before in a while) Lexus changed the programs APR wise on their Lexus Fleet.

Almost all models now come with 0% financing for 60 months.

Ahead of memorial day and right after a troubled week for retail sales confidence report was released.

That article was really a good analysis.

Toyota highlander vs the RX is interesting tidbit if you do a skim.

Today's changes signal a more aggressive approach than its mainstream counterpart. Toyota cut rates in late April to 0% but only on 3 models: the 2020 Camry, RAV4, and Tacoma. If Toyota's approach was like a scalpel, Lexus' is like a sledgehammer. This can lead to major differences in cost for similarly-priced vehicles.
For example, at 0% APR, a $50,000 Lexus RX costs $50,000 at $833/month before taxes and fees. Meanwhile, the 2020 Toyota Highlander features no APR deals whatsoever apart from a non-promotional rate of 5.15%. On a $50,000 Highlander, that would result in $6,820 in interest with a payment of $947/month.

Toyota is not going to cut rates on the new Highlander. One of the best selling models. Consumers tend to shift to Toyota when times get tough.

Eventually Lexus will drop 0 percent. Production is being cut at the moment to better align with the current situation.

50/50

Lexus has been utilizing both one week production stops (out of a month), and reduced factory production lines since April, the current one is an extension of that. I`m assuming this is as lean as they can run without running into issues.
