    Tesla - Brand Perception/Opinions

That's most likely exactly what happened. I've seen drivers leave the card key on center console over sensor and drive for miles and when they walk away the car remains unlocked, it's also a common occurrence during Tesla test drives. Evannex makes a CARDRAILS™: KEY CARD HOLDER FOR TESLA...

    Tesla Cybertruck

Wow, some Cybertruck content. I view all pickup trucks as ugly, so this isn't any prettier, just different. It will sell well but not like the F150 I am guessing.

Car Buzz Calls Lexus RZ “Dead on Arrival” Due to Price

The few of us with actual/real/significant EV driving experience know the importance of EV range. In many US western states we cruise at 80 mph consistently on freeways and highways and that results in range of only 70% to 75% of EPA "combined" range, So 300 miles of EPA range minimum is a...

    Tesla - Brand Perception/Opinions

^ Yes, PWC knows very well what worst case risk looks like. Feel free to think Tesla is another Enron (contracts too complicated to audit the now defunct auditors said), it's your personal choice, lol.

    Tesla - Brand Perception/Opinions

That's for you to find (it's not hard for outsider to figure out based on the published financials). As I said in post number #141: But the main reason that the margin impact-to-date is minimal is because the FSD revenue is mostly treated as "deferred revenue" so far. Therefore the...

    Tesla - Brand Perception/Opinions

To add some clarity to my response earlier regarding Tesla margins: As I said earlier "The take rate of FSD is very low (hence offered on subscription basis), so it's not yet a big deal from a margin standpoint.", which is true. But the main reason that the margin impact-to-date is minimal is...

^ Sounds like that OTA update needs to happen fast for the vehicles with FSD.

Next-Generation Lexus Battery-Electric Vehicles to Debut by 2026

Good question, but nobody wants to hear this... Seems like they are already letting the slow death happen (reference the low volume of US Lexus IS LS RC LC sales in 2022), with the ES (and NX and RX of course) still selling well.

Next-Generation Lexus Battery-Electric Vehicles to Debut by 2026

Given battery costs (versus ICE powerplant costs), makes complete sense to have premium Lexus brand sell next gen BEVs. Better late....

Yes, based on post #406 and #408, and now #417. But yes it can all be consolidated in the I hate Tesla thread in Off Topic section.

    Tesla - Brand Perception/Opinions

Exactly, again digging up whatever you can find on any make/brand of car is easy on the internet, lol. And that's exactly what you did with the Tesla Model S you tube guy from "yesterday". Did you even listen to the video? He bought a used Tesla 2021 Model S from CarMax with 23K miles and now...

    Tesla - Brand Perception/Opinions

Ancient reliability history on 2 early production Tesla Model S’s, (blah blah on and on, with occasional dug up internet hyperbole added in to resemble current events lol), no doubt those early experiences were horrible. Oh yeah, the low range RZ…

    2024 Mazda CX-90

    Tesla Model 3 Performance

^ Yes, third party charging setups are hit and miss, with maintenance being inconsistent and sketchy. Fumbling around with separate app is required to use specific brand of chargers. With the Tesla supercharger, the user just plugs in and charging starts immediately. No separate mickey mouse...

    Tesla Model 3 Performance

Currently Tesla S and X yoke (now yoke is a no charge option, normal steering wheel is default) doesn't have variable ratio steering. Bad setup until it does. But you already know that most enthusiasts dislike variable ratio steering, usually not natural feeling.

    Tesla Model 3 Performance

Yes, I've driven several new Model S LRs and two new Model S Plaids, both quicker than any M3. My friend made the choice of LR over Plaid and took delivery last summer (with a wrap and Vossen wheels shortly after delivery). I would do the same, no yoke of course. He sold his C63S while used...

    Tesla Model 3 Performance

Yes, P seems to be very good value. Unconfirmed that motors are actually different. If I get a chance I’ll check with my friends in Service. I have Long Range w Performance Boost software, no surprise Tesla purposely dialed back acceleration slightly to differentiate P from LR (that’s the...

    Tesla Model 3 Performance

Regarding the topic here (for a change) Tesla Model 3 Performance, how about the $4K price gap on 3/Y over long range versions? Mostly consists of wheels/tires/brakes/rear spoiler,/pedal pads/lowering springs/software. I guess $4K isn't outrageous.

    Tesla Model 3 Performance

Wow, that's terrible. Assuming we can believe the source (as they angle for a "return"). I've driven dozens of Y's and several of my friends own Y's, thank God that never happened. Sorry, I have no recommendations for good smoking substances. (stick to the whine, lol)
