Official Lexus Future Product & Powertrain Megathread

Some people will never buy an SUV, they have to keep that in mind, not everyone is a sheep or has 3 kids. I am one of them, and I am not the only one….

IS 500 F SPORT Performance Megathread

I like the RCF the most of the cars listed, wish the price was closer to the IS 500 For colors I like the Blue/White combo as my first choice, Blue/Black as my second, Red/Black as number 3. I hate black wheels, don’t get the appeal at all, no contrast, big blob of black is it the tire, wheel...

    2022 Acura Integra

Agree, if they offered a coupe and had a realistic price I would be interested. As it is now? Nope. I do drive a stick shift coupe, so it’s not just talk…..

IS 500 F SPORT Performance Megathread

There are a bunch of current cars going for over sticker as inventory levels are still pathetic across all brands. Not saying the IS500 isn’t desirable, but don’t think that is a good measuring stick for if a product is compelling or not. it amazes me that almost to 3 years of Covid and the...

    The all-new BMW 2 Series Coupé (G42)

I agree, that is so bad it hurts to see as a BMW fan. Completely tacky.

    The all-new BMW 2 Series Coupé (G42)

I like the car, how many stick shift, rear wheel drive coupes are out there…. But over styled rear end, unnecessarily bulky and too HEAVY.

BMW is Killing the 8 Coupe and Cabriolet

Thanks for the added information. Doesn’t sound good from a livability standpoint. I love coupes, but mine is a 2015 2 series which has been easy to live with, not a small greenhouse. I look forward to the next RC.

BMW is Killing the 8 Coupe and Cabriolet

Love the look of the 8 series coupe. I have never driven it, but on looks alone I think it is great. Sad to hear it is going away, I will never understand the love affair with the SUV. I just don’t get it.

    2023 BMW XM

Yeah, that new M2 looks bad if that is the real thing…. What do you drive now? I still have a 228i MSport, stick shift and it is hard to replace. I keep hoping for a new IS or RC to come out to take a serious look at one of those. The refresh didn’t cut it IMHO.

    2021 G80/2 BMW M3 & M4

Looks much better without the oversized nostrils, no question. Don’t feel like it was wise for BMW to take the risk they did, we will see in a couple of years what the sales numbers are….

    Car prices and sales models

Those “cheap showrooms” are cheaper than a real dealership with so much space for inventory and service bays etc… I don’t care how expensive the mall is, I live in San Francisco, can’t tell me Stanford shopping center is more expensive than, say, Peter Pan BMW’s location…. Or MB at 101 and...

    Car prices and sales models

Thanks for the very detailed reply. Very good information, but I still believe the manufacturer can save money by selling directly to the consumer. I didn’t miss the other costs and factors in play when I thought about it, but I didn’t express them in my basic example. Tesla as an example with...

    Car prices and sales models

How can you say that manufactures don’t incur cost savings with a direct sales model? The manufacturer doesn’t have to sell the car to a dealer at a lower price (wholesale) and then miss out on the benefit of selling to the consumer at MSRP. This margin the dealer makes, not the manufacturer. If...

CR. Lexus & Mazda & Toyota on top. Tesla & Genesis bottom 5.

You are right, it isn’t the best, by any realistic measure, but Range Rover has panache, image, and it is expensive. Their buyers don’t care. They want the image and off road reputation, I think it is a POS, but it doesn’t matter. The brand sells. CR is a valuable resource that many discount...

IS 500 F SPORT Performance Megathread

Well to be fair they probably didn’t have a choice when fitting a V8 in the engine bay… had to make it fit somehow.
