I wish lexus went all out with the LX interior...
Atleast the LS interior was pretty nice when it first came out. LX 600 interior wasn't that great from day 1.
Whatever minor update they have planned for the LX interior won't be enough. The interior needs a thorough refresh.
It's much bigger than the LC300/LC
The Nissan Patrol twin will steal lots of sales from the LC300.
The LX exterior looks better to me but the interior..no comparison...
Lx needs an update...yesterday.
Most G wagons here are G63s anyway.
More people use the LX off road here than G wagons (which like I said are mostly G63s) around these parts.
Looking forward to see the G wagon update actually...
They are not going to sell the Lexus GX 550 in the GCC countries where the LX sells extremely well. At least not anytime soon.
How do I know this for certain?
I just checked the tech info for the new GX, no designation for GCC market.
Does this mean it will never be introduced here?
No one knows...
The side glass design of the 250 was clearly inspired from this old 4 door 70 series prototype.

Just thought I'd share this from the Toyota section
If they decide to make a lexus version of this
Could it be the closest we get to an LF-1?
https://www.motor1.com/news/692526/electric-toyota-land-cruiser-concept-debuts/
As per official measurements it is larger than the LF-1 concept...
That is correct.
They are very different vehicles. For starters alone, the front suspension changed a lot between both generations.
Both are independent front suspension but the LC100 used torsion bars in front and the LC200 uses coil springs in the front.
The frame is different, the mechanical...
Excuse me but the J100 and J200 are not one and the same. They are very different vehicles.
The j200 platform was all new compared to the j100.
The frame is different and stronger, components were beefier than the J100, the independent front suspension changed from torsion bars to coil...
this is the official Land Cruiser channel
some very cool videos get posted here with some cool engineering stuff too
https://www.youtube.com/@toyotalandcruiserofficial
if only they added official English subtitles
This video mentions some of the sub categories in the TNGA-F platform.
translation says ''F0 will be the platform - F1 will be the station wagon type - F2 is the light duty Land Cruiser''
F1 is for the station wagon ( Meaning LC300/LX)
F2 is for the light duty range (LC250/GX)
I am sure it...
Makes sense
& thanks to TNGA-F they probably were able to change and revise what they wanted much quicker than it would normally take
Since the core vehicle which TNGA-F spread out from was the LC300 and that started development in 2014.

"Redefining the platform midway through the build"
Does this mean they originally had a different platform and then moved it on to the TNGA-F platform?
I remember reading the same thing happened with the Seqouia/Tundra.
Not sure honestly.
But you see how the hilux has been getting more aggressive with every special edition?
with this being the latest which I am sure you already saw
https://www.motor1.com/news/691787/2024-toyota-hilux-gr-sport-ii/
the next step logically would be a full blown GR version that...
