    2021 Lexus IS Megathread

That it will not be in Europe gives me some concern as to their plan for this huge market. We already saw the discontinuation of GS (including GS hybrid and GS-F) we now see a rather small selection of cars where some of them are simply not competitive: - CT200h: Basically a facelift of the...

Lexus Europe Hybrid Crossover Sales Exceed 250,000 Mark

Yep. Europe has turned out to be a lucrative market for crossovers. I hope Lexus will expand with the Limitless as anything in that segment seems to be a cash cow... and with money they can keep on doing those very exciting niche projects.

Building a Lexus LFA Out of Lego

I have checked out the LEGO Ideas, and the car is unfortunately not eligible due to it being a licensed vehicle - I suppose they have seen enough of those! In the meantime I have made a video going into the crazyness of the white version for anyone interested in how much you can stretch those...

Building a Lexus LFA Out of Lego

You are absolutely correct RAL. The cars in Legoland (Except the Airport from your second picture) are in scale 1:20, so the LFA is in scale and fits right in. I started building in this scale when the very same park had a competition in 2014. They asked for people to design cars of the brand...

Building a Lexus LFA Out of Lego

I'm glad that you enjoyed it. I have been arguing back and forth with myself for a very long time on wether I should post it here.

Building a Lexus LFA Out of Lego

I just wanted to share a nice experience I had with Toyota and Lexus back in November 2017. I was commissioned to build a LEGO model of the LFA in scale 1:20. The client was Mr. Tomoki Yoshihara from Toyota Motor Europe and the model was to be handed over as a gift to his boss, Akio Toyoda, at...

    Lexus Europe 2019 Sales Report

The new Corolla 2.0 hybrid is on fire in Europe. This is purely anecdotal, but my father got one recently and now my mother signed for one as well! I test drove the 1.8 and 2.0 back to back and the difference is staggering! This engine has to get into the C-HR stat! Seeing it in the CT would...

    Lexus Europe 2019 Sales Report

Interesting. I have single handledly bumped the combined European sales of a Lexus model by nearly 2% for half a year! It almost feels like making a difference :)

Behind-the-Scenes: The Partnership Between Lexus & Men in Black

It was featured very well in that movie, starting with it stopping in front of a building where you can clearly hear it is the V8 version. There is a fairly unrealistic scene where it is able to keep up with a higher powered AWD car on soft terrain (no spoilers) but otherwise it is one of the...

Next-Generation Lexus RC Coupe to Use Mazda Platform & Engine?

A collaboration with Mazda seems to be the exact opposite of what you want for luxury brand management. I agree with CRSKTN, and ask others: How do you think this kind of collaboration would impact the brand perception? I have personally had horrible experiences with Mazda, and the brand has...

Approach angle / ground clearance of LC500

It is an amazing machine, despite all the regional shortcomings. I can honestly not tell the difference between the 477 and 464 HP versions - it is less than a 3% reduction, after all. It is a much bigger issue with all the time I am wasting looking at it instead of doing something productive.

Approach angle / ground clearance of LC500

I'm in Europe. I have neither Carplay, Entune, nor Alexa. What I do have, however, is a particle filter robbing me of 13HP, so there's that :)

Approach angle / ground clearance of LC500

Thanks. The car is great. There are some idiosyncrasies in it - especially in the infotainment. Everything else is even above expectations. I did not expect the car to be able to both cruise silently at 160km/h and be a complete riot when accelerating. Having read and viewed tons of reviews...

Approach angle / ground clearance of LC500

Unfortunately it was completely out of the question to get a loaner. The dealership in Hamburg (700km away) was helpful in letting me measure the height of the front lip, and also gave me the height difference between the car with and without driver. With those numbers my Greek friend...

Next-Generation Lexus CT to Debut in 2021?

Thank you for considering my state of mind, but I perfectly calm, thank you. I challenge statements that I disagree with, and provide my input to support my arguments. Joaquin Ruhi says the Mazda 3 interior feels more upscale than the one from UX, so I lay out observations that would counter...

Next-Generation Lexus CT to Debut in 2021?

Good. Then I understood you correctly, and I wholeheartedly disagree. When you say Toyota has 'generic design', then I believe it reveals your true colors, and I hope you will enjoy your Mazda, or whichever non-Toyota/Lexus car that you prefer. Lexus is the luxury division from Toyota. Toyota...

Next-Generation Lexus CT to Debut in 2021?

I can't speak for others, but that would make me not consider another Lexus as I have had very, very bad experiences with Mazda. The current CT is based on the previous global compact platform, shared with the Prius, Corolla, Avensis, etc. It follows that a new CT would be based on the Lexus...

    Reviews: The 2019 Lexus UX 200 & UX 250h

So the lease agency had a selection of cars and the CT was the only one within budget? That sounds like a bad situation. In my area the BMW 1-series occupies this entry point for leasing and is frequently seen with hubcaps and cloth seats. When I say frequently, I am talking about there being...
