Did they think that ES300h AWD would be coming to Europe? Kind of hard to believe... I am sure ES350 AWD variant will come to Russia which is big market for Lexus Europe, but ES300h? Who knows though since Prius now has AWD.
Despite what people think, US and Chinese markets are in many ways similar... just like Russian market too.
Now Europe, completely different story and it will be always very hard for Lexus to compete really good there.
definition of luxury is sitting in the car and touching/working with it... Rav4 is more luxurious than before, it is not luxury vehicle.

I came away impressed from new Rav4 Hybrid (2WD) top end equipment, but it is still nowhere close to Lexus... for instance...
Whenever some new model comes out from Toyota, we have a year or two when people claim it is much better than Lexus... I like new Rav4, and it is a lot more luxurious than before, but it is not a luxury vehicle by any means.
I am sure same will happen with Highlander and new RX. For us who are...
yeah... and in general, maybe first european TMC vehicle with carplay? European system lags a lot compared to the US one, and looks worse on Toyota's too... I know Rav4 salesmen were telling everyone that Android Auto support is coming by the end of the year to existing vehicles.

Update looks good overall, infotainment was a sore point with reviewers for a long time and now it looks that they covered literally every angle possible with touch, pad, huge screen, android, apple, Alexa... They now have everything.
Removing stalk is probably one of the worst ergonomic decisions they ever made.
Old stalk was very intuitive and easy to use, easier than buttons on steering wheel.
Plus new Toyotas get buttons on steering wheel too.
their thinking is likely that they will start using BMW 3.0l turbo in some cars and on others use TMC's 3.5tt.... which makes no sense at all and makes me want to discredit everything they have written.
And why would LC convertible be lighter?
Indeed... I expect them to do around 2m hybrids by the end of 2020, as they are increasing production of batteries worldwide.
