Sounds to me like they are trying to disguise the fact that a small turbo four is the base engine. 2.0L turbos, however, have become quite common in the auto industry lately. In fact, you will find one in even the base-level Cadillac CT6 flagship.

I think it's much simpler than that. Multiple NX rivals use a three: Q3, X3, GLC300. To be considered an equal, it must appear equal to ALL consumers, even the ones that may think a vehicle is better because the number is bigger :laughing:

That right there is part of the problem. Too many car-shoppers simply don't know what they are looking at.....or what is under the skin.
