GS is like some ghost that comes back to haunt Lexus... on the most random months, it comes from nowhere posting huge gains. It cracks me up.

Dismal LS sales in Canada, worse than LC. Only 5 in March! o_O

UX doing ok in US and better in Canada (proportionally) to no surprise as we prefer smaller vehicles in general. Is the target 2k monthly in the US? Can't remember seeing it somewhere.

I think target was 18k-20k for the year in the US... seems like UX250h is making it happen.

March is generally a big month for Lexus, these are good numbers.

BMW, MB, Audi, Infiniti are all down for the year, Lexus is only luxury brand that has increased sales in 2019 in the USA.

To give it some perspective (month/year):

-Volvo, 547/1405
-BMW, 1358/3496
-Mercedes, 1588/4326

Automotive News commentary on the BMW vs Mercedes vs Lexus luxury sales race in the U.S. at the end of Q1 2019:

LUXURY: BMW overtakes Mercedes in March, Q1
PHILIP NUSSEL

BMW topped Lexus and Mercedes-Benz in the coveted U.S. luxury segment in March and returned to the black for the first three months of the year.

Led by the X3 crossover, BMW Group said its March brand sales rose 2.9 percent to 32,228 vehicles while Toyota Motor Corp.'s Lexus brand surged 8.2 percent to 29,249 deliveries during the month. Mercedes finished third with sales dropping 4.9 percent to 27,004 vehicles.

Bernard Kuhnt, CEO of BMW North America, credited the X3, X5 and X7 crossovers for much of the March gain. The X3 — now by far BMW's sales leader in the U.S. — posted a 48 percent gain to 6,727 deliveries during the month. The X7, which just went on sale, racked up 2,186 March sales.

BMW's first-quarter U.S. sales, which do not include the non-luxury Mini brand, improved 0.1 percent to 73,888 units. That was 2,717 deliveries ahead of second-place Mercedes. Lexus was a distant third during the quarter with sales rising 4 percent to 66,791 vehicles.

Lexus was led in March by the RX crossover, which improved 12 percent to 10,967 deliveries. For the quarter, RX sales slipped 1.1 percent to 23,529 units, but it remained the brand's best-selling U.S. nameplate.

On the car side, the Lexus ES posted a 25 percent gain in March to 4,922 deliveries. First-quarter sales improved 23 percent to 11,390 sedans.

Almost 7k X3s is crazy... and it's not "new" anymore. Last I looked, NX and RDX were close around 4k units a month. So the X3 seems to be head and shoulders above them now?

Those numbers make some sense in terms of what I see out on the road; it used to be you'd see RDXes all over the place. Now they've not entirely disappeared but they're a lot less common than they were 3-4 years ago while the number of low-end BMW and Benz CUVs has exploded.
