Another amazing month for Lexus Sales
Lexus posted sales of 25,876 units, up 11.7 percent from April 2014 on a volume basis and 11.7 percent on a DSR basis.

“Lexus is off to its best start ever,” said Jeff Bracken, Lexus group vice president and general manager. “We’re bullish on the industry as we head into the summer selling season and that goes double for the luxury segment.”

Looks like the NX might have taken a bite out of RX sales last month. 6,800 RXs is quite low...

Funny to see IS and ES less than 1k units apart. The 3IS has been huge for Lexus! Can't wait until the 200t shows up.

GS staying strong again. GX still at nearly 2k units. With these two, Lexus now has a midsize "core" that's strong, vs. ES and RX being so dominant for years prior.

Top end - LS and LX - really could use some updating, and the sales numbers show it!

Well Lexus was down what 7k units from last month so that would likely be the RX sales...From my understanding they will keep production up until the new RX and not wind down any.

Nice figures yet again!

Not so sure the existence of the NX is the result of the RX's slip this month considering the RX has had strong sales the last four months. In fact NX sales went down a little too. I suspect it has more to do with the unveil of the '16 RX and people's greater awareness of the unveil thanks to easier access to this information over social media.

Regarding the NX, I keep wondering if the seemingly consistent monthly figure is a result of the capacity constraints since 3400-3600 monthly units sums up to the target for the 40-42k units allocated to the US. Let's see what Mr. Templin shares with us regarding this very topic (assuming it's one of the questions). :D

ES slipped a little too. I'd like to see the MKZ figures and wonder if those cheezy Lincoln comparison commercials may actually be affecting sales.

Very pleased with the CT, consistently on track in its sales and impressive for a 5 year old vehicle already. Similarly the GS, and the other SUVs.

RC is as expected and on track.

IS sales is impressive hitting the 4k mark.

Canadian figures - wow, the NX 25%?

Buick seems to be the biggest surprise....and we're talking American-market sales, not its natural Chinese home where the brand has been highly revered for years. Not long ago, many were claiming that Buick was the division that should have been axed at GM, not Pontiac. The brand clearly appeals to more than just Grandpa and Grandma.

Not surprised to see the 3/4 series top the list, they have all kinds of madness going on with them. 4 series coupe, gran coupe and 3 series gt and wagon nonsense. Keep up the excellent work Lexus!

Buick has a sold lineup, I think we have agreed on that for sometime. The Enclave has been huge for them. Oddly enough I love their Regal but it doesn't sell so hot for them. Buick outsold Acura again as both battle it out.

I find it odd that BMW purposely decided to call the coupe the 4 series but they are not separating sales. It would be interesting to see the breakdown sedan to coupe...though as you stated it would also include a GT, Gran Coupe and even wagons.

Bmw is saturating the market with so many cars buddy. They spend all this money on R &D, and their profit margin is not even that high on certain models.

Hard to say for sure, but the most likely reason BMW separates the 3 and 4 series in name, if not in sales, is because of Audi's (now) intense competition and how they separate the A4/A5 into sedan and coupe.

they are coming! stay tuned! All new redesigned LX!

Wow a fully redesigned LX, not just a refresh? That has me VERY excited! After the high standards that the GS and RX full redesigns have set, as well as the NX, I have very high expectations for a next-gen LX. I want to see how much they can improve the luxury and prestige of the LX compared with the Range Rover and other competitors.
