It will never happen, but an ES station wagon is a fun thought experiment.

I don`t know what would be more logical for Lexus, an ES or GS Sportcross. The ES is more affordable, so more sales, but the GS is more of an enthusiast car, and so are wagons. Also, in a recent list from R&T of cars that need a wagon variant, the GS F was featured. I also saw a rendering of the 3IS (pre-facelift) Sportcross.

And a 2IS Sportcross:

And a GS Sportcross made from the LF-GH concept:

Well Theophilus Chin has certainly made a reputation for himself of making outlandish, unrealistic renderings that are far from reality.

Sure it's a nice novelty to look at, but one that will never realistically make production.

Even if it somehow makes it into production, it will be sold FAAAAAR away from North America.
But I have no idea why the Venza was discontinued, it probably got the best wagon sales in North American history.

When I first saw the top half of the image, I thought it was a RX L rendering!

I fancy some of those renderings, but the reality is anything with a steeply raked roofline/entry point for rear passengers is doomed from the start a la Chrysler 200/Hyundai Sonata fiasco.

The Venza reached the end of its product lifecycle, and with its sales, Toyota decided it had no further business case to develop a replacement. It was the slowest selling of all Toyota CUV/SUVs anyway. The Honda Crossturd also died too. If anything, Toyota is still making the Venza for other markets for one more year I think (Amortized costs!).
