It's the first time a low-displacement engine has been offered in the Lexus GS, how did the new GS 200t match up against its V6-powered GS 350 counterpart?

I would have thought the 200t would have been a lot slower than the 350. It will interesting to see how fast it is in the quarter mile. The major price differential may help it compete with the ES in the showroom.

Now, is the extra weight of the 200t just because of the engine, or there is other additives ??

If 2.0L turbo engine itself is heavier than the 3.5L engine, then the idiot materials engineer at LEXUS must be fired >_<

Surprised to see there's only an $835 USD difference between the 200t F Sport and 350 F Sport, like for like I assume?

Owning the NX 200t for over a year now, I'm not a huge fan of the 4 cyl turbo due to its lag and lack of any aural sensations. Would be the 3.5L V6 any day for me, in fact I prefer my IS' 2.5L V6.

Note, we don't get the GS 200t in Canada which is fine for me. Lowest available model is the 300 AWD with the detuned 3.5LV6.

Thanks krew! Always great little details in your reviews. The weight increase threw me off guard.
