- Lexus International has confirmed a September 1 debut for the 2027 NX
- The updated crossover will have interior and exterior design updates as well as new technology and features

After being caught testing earlier this year, the updated 2027 Lexus NX will officially make its global debut on September 1. Lexus International teased the updated NX showing bits of the front, rear, and side while announcing the upcoming release date.

2027 Lexus NX: What We Already Know
When Lexus Enthusiast received spy shots of the updated NX in May, exterior changes were hard to decipher through the prototype’s camouflage, though the new crossover will indeed have revised front and rear styling. In the teaser video above, the updated headlight design is already visible.
However, the major headline with the new NX will be a redesigned interior similar to that of the new Lexus ES. In the spy photos below, the redesigned dash, larger center screen, and revised driver instrument cluster are all visible meaning that the model’s most significant changes take place inside.
As Lexus continues its march towards being fully electric by 2035, it has also been reported that the NX lineup will be fully hybrid or plug-in hybrid going forward, and the gas powered NX 350 model may be eliminated. The gas NX 250 was retired for the 2026 model year, while the NX 350h and NX 450h+ continue to be highly sought after with many dealers still having waiting lists for these popular hybrid models.
