The Lexus UX 300e EV is getting a 40% battery increase, with the cruising range jumping to 450km/280 miles. The official press release explains it best:
The enhancements announced for the UX 300e are based on the relentless pursuit of perfection under an “Always On” philosophy. Enhancements unique to the BEV powertrain include a newly developed battery pack with capacity increased from 54.4 kWh to 72.8 kWh, resulting in a cruising range of 450 km―over 40% longer than the current model.
The updated UX 300e will be available in most major markets by spring 2023, though North America still appears to be left out — the Canadian or American media sites have yet to post a press release.
