Lexus USA will be adding a smartphone-powered navigation system to the standard package on select 2017 models. Called Scout GPS Link, the system relies on an app available for both Apple & Android devices — here’s a demonstration of how it works on current Toyota models:
Scout GPS Link navigation will not interfere with other smartphone features like music or phone calls, and also works with voice activation and search commands.
The new system will be standard on the 2017 RX, IS, ES, NX, and RC F models equipped with the Display Audio Controller.
