Lexus USA has reported 27,890 total sales for July 2016, a 6.5% decrease over last year — here’s the model-by-model breakdown:
|MONTH||Year to Date (*DSR)|
|2016||2015||% CHG*||2016||2015||% CHG*|
Please note, all percentages are calculated by the Daily Sales Rate (DSR), which takes into account the number of days in the month that dealerships could sell cars. July 2016 had 26 selling days, July 2015 had 26 selling days.
Lexus SUVs are dominating the brand’s sales in the USA, and leading the way is the RX and NX with combined 13,211 units sold — nearly 50% of total volume for the month. Along with the strong LX & GX sales, light-truck sales for Lexus USA had their best-ever July sales.
This success is contrasted by the significant drops in nearly all car sales, with only the ES showing up on the positive side of the ledger. Collectively, car sales are down 19% on the year.
