2016 Lexus GS F SPORT Debuts at Frankfurt Motor Show

The updated 2016 Lexus 450h and GS 200t F SPORT made their debut today at the Frankfurt Motor Show — Lexus UK has posted photos of both models, let’s start with the GS F SPORT:

Right off the bat, the GS F SPORT shares some strong similarities with the upcoming GS F — there are some softer lines in the front and the stance more subdued, but these two models are clearly related.

Up next is the 2016 GS 450h in what looks to be Starlight Black:

This is the first time in Lexus history that the standard model looks more dramatic than the F SPORT model — the sharp angles and folds in the front make the GS 450h look like a Transformer in these photos.

Looking forward to more photos of these two models, what do you think so far?

Unfortunately not a fan. Reminds me of incoherent Mercedes E Class, where the front just does not fit the design language of the rest of the car.

I dont like it. It looks like both sides is slapped onto the the grille section.
O
nothing serious, but interesting that there's no F-Sport badging on the rear of the vehicle.

premium LEDs look great in GS... and also non-fsport looks great too, maybe even better than F-Sport, which is great.

Still sits to high over it's wheels. I'm liking the standard (non f-sport) in Caviar.

Wow that thing is ugly. I loved the last GS, I have a 2014 IS, love the RC, NX and the new RX. Even the new GS F, but this thing looks ridiculous. The creases, the bulges, the little silver and black trim pieces. Of course, I'll wait until I see it in person for final judgment. It's just too much. I'd like to see an image from straight above to see how much that front grill section sticks out.

I prefer the GS F.
