Lexus June 2015 Sales Report

Lexus USA has reported 26,121 total sales for June 2015, a 6.6% improvement over last year — here’s the model-by-model breakdown:

Please note, all percentages are calculated by the Daily Sales Rate (DSR), which takes into account the number of days in the month that dealerships could sell cars. June 2015 had 25 selling days, June 2014 had 24 selling days.

NX sales are getting stronger every month in the USA — in fact, the whole SUV lineup is carrying Lexus right now in terms of growth, with a 19.6% jump since last year.

Lexus cars, on the other hand, are faltering — while and RC is doing its part and the GS & LS broke even compared to 2014, the other models have seen big drops. Luckily, help is right around the corner, with the ES & GS mid-cycle updates coming later this year and the IS getting the new 2.0L turbo engine option.

Canada Day holiday today hence likely why no Canadian sales report. As for the US, no surprises really. I'm expecting the ES and RX to keep sliding until MY 2016s are out in a few months. The NX in 6 months has sold exactly half of its 40k allotment for 2016. As such, we can continue to expect sales in between 3500 to 4k monthly to the remainder of the year. LFA 1 sold ??? Surprise, X5 outsold the RX. I can't ever recall when this happened.

Hmm, I think consumers are holding out for the 2016 RX's...maybe as to why the X5 is higher in units.
