Leaked: The Lexus LF-SA Concept

Images of the Lexus LF-SA concept have leaked just days before before its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show.

First posted on a Russian automotive site, the photos were then picked up by Jalopnik and are now everywhere — here’s another shot of the exterior:

Right away, the city car concept has so many great details — the spiking wheels, the fractal grille, the matte and varying textures, they all come together to create a complex and intriguing design.

Here’s an image from the rear:

Lexus LF-SA Rear

More than anything, the LF-SA concept is a pure dose of the future — the rear glass creases into the trunk lid, with the pronounced wheel arches reminding me of the Lexus 2054 concept from Minority Report.

There’s one final image of the interior:

There will be plenty of time to analyze the photos in depth, but my initial impressions are extremely positive. As a fan of city cars in general, I’m excited to see Lexus experimenting in this direction, and I can’t wait to learn more details about the LF-SA.

So what do you think?

(Thanks BoostedLex!)

I will be real interested to see what powertrain they use in the car. Also, to see where it will be offered. Where we live in the southeast, there is a very small market for city cars. My impression is that that is the case throughout the country compared to europe.

WOW, that's really nice but I find it too small and probably with a smaller engine then the Lexus CT200h or the NX200t So with a small car like this and a smaller engine it won't do much in Middle-East To me I would love to buy one to added with one of my collection cars. And at least to me it looks much better then the NEW SAMRT!.

A city car, the next BIG thing in the auto industry, like they said. I don't believe in it and I'm living in Europe. Far too small, a two-seater, the volume of the trunk: I think that you will have a problem if you go the supermarket. And certainly if there is even a passenger along. But maybe I'm wrong... I would not buy it, but I like the concept. I reminds me of a Ford Ka, but much better. And of course, the tires, which probably will not get in the end result

3 years ago we bought an iQ to try and reduce the miles we were running up on our GS. We succeeded beyond our expectations. Granted we're 70 and not running down to the beach with friends to play volleyball but a 'city' car has a real place in our lives and any one who has 2 cars should have this as their second car. If it makes production without getting too much longer than our iQ we'll have to upgrade. Lexus customer for 20 years for all the usual reasons.

That back end looks like the love child of a Prius and an NX, but it's definitely a head turner! I'm interested to see what kind of stance it has in person though, being super aggressive like that makes it look a little bumped up in the rear. I do think that grill is hypnotizing me though, hah.
