Photo: The Lexus LF-CC Sharpens Its Teeth

I remember how surprising the Lexus LF-CC concept was when it debuted at the Paris Auto Show in 2012. I was convinced it would be the next-generation LS, or maybe even a compact crossover concept.

Instead we got this incredibly sharp, incredibly stylish coupe concept that would lead to both the current IS sedan and RC coupe.

This photo is from SEMA 2012, the first and only time I saw the LF-CC. I was struck by the angles in the front bumper, how they jutted out like shark teeth. It remains one of my favorite interpretations of the spindle grille.

This front on the RC (F).... Still a bit of a missed opportunity.

I agree... the front of the RC (the RC F looks a bit better) is already a strange face. It looks somehow fated and just too much like a japanese cartoon... Please more simple lines in your design Lexus!!!

The LF-CC should have been the RC/RCF - it was gorgeous with perfect proportions.

Agreed ......but i think the design will evolve into that slowly, but surely.

The RC got nothing from the LF-CC. Not one single design element other than that it's a coupe.
