Initial Lexus RC F Orders in Japan Surpass Two Year Sales Goal

In just one month, Lexus Japan has received 900 orders for the new RC F coupe, or roughly 30 times the estimated monthly sales goal of 30 units. In short, over two years of RC F inventory have been sold in 30 days.

The same holds true for the RC 350 & RC 300h — there have been 1,700 total orders since October 23rd, a total that exceeds the sales goal of 80 units per month by 2,125%.

(The NX had a similar success story in September, when initial orders surpassed the monthly sales goal by 1,357%.)

That's one low expectation in term of sales number though , 30 unit ... but then it's Japan , tax compress on big displacement vehicles .

Lexus seems to always underestimate, which I guess isn't really bad if they're always beating they're expected sales which probably makes them happy

Lexus strikes me as that kid in your class who always underestimates themselves, takes forever to do things, doesn't think he/she is going to do well but ends up passing with flying colors. Lexus seriously needs to pick up the pace, and I really hope this rumor of no LF-C2 isn't true. Introducing a new RX AND a drop top RC would lure in two totally different demographics, while still intriguing the younger generation. If they do release an RC Convertible or roadster, that'll be my next car, right beside the new Model S (yes I know betrayal, but I'll always have Lexus's back).
