I like the name "Sonic Titanium" better than Atomic silver as it relates to the process coined by Lexus "Sonic Technology" which is about how they paint the colour. And it relates to the other 2 sonic colours --- Sonic Silver/Liquid Platinum and Sonic Quartz/Sonic White/Eminent White. Also atomic silver appears to be titanium colour in most lighting conditions.

I prefer Atomic Silver. Sonic Titanium is a mouthful and it sounds like they're trying too hard to come up with a cool name, not to mention they don't want to use two Sonics in the same color pallet.

True, it is a matter of preference . "Sonic" is mouthful to some but it is fashionable to others. Japanese like good marketing phrase and if this colour is translated in Japanese, it sounds much better than "Atomic Silver". But to say they don't want two sonics in the same colour pallet, it is not true for all regions. For Japan, Singapore and a few other countries, "Sonic Titanium" continues to be used and in the case of NX and GS, there will be two Sonics in 2015 --- NX -- Sonic Quartz and Sonic Titanium GS -- Sonic Silver and Sonic Titanium Not to mention "Silver" appears twice for IS in North American market --- Silver Lining metallic/Premium Silver and Atomic Silver --- well, Lexus Canada has already ditched Silver Lining Metallic for 2015 IS...

In this case I find the word "atomic" seriously disturbing cause the main thing that recall to my mind is the movie "The Day After" and the early 80's (1983 in particular) when we're living scared by the cold war and the fear of the end of the world, I don't know how old are you but me myself I'm 38 so even if at that time I was a kid I remember very well those days when the world "atomic" was synonym of "nuclear war".

I saw this color on an IS while at our dealer on Friday. This color is amazing! I was ready to buy . . . except it was a courtesy car . . . no others in stock. And if I'm honest, I wouldn't want to face my wife's wrath coming home with a new car . . . : (

I have a little question: A few weeks ago I've seen a GS 450h in "Satin Cashmere Metallic". Yesterday I configurated a GS but I didn't found that colour anymore. Did Lexus stopped to offer that colour? In my opinion it looks very good... sry for my bad English

It appears that color was only available for one year (2013) in the USA. See attached link: http://www.toyotareference.com/lexusgs

'Sonic Titanium' also available on GS as from model year '15 here in Europe. Very nice colour, indeed.

It is a color that blends perfectly with the GS, less with the IS, I think. But that color has something, especially in the sun.

that is one of the best colors. Unfortunately the GS is looking dated now. lol. They need a mid cycle refresh already.
