This good news comes with help from the annual December to Remember sales event, which started in the USA a month early, as well as increased inventory of the CT & RX models.

Even with this success, Lexus remains below the market leaders — for November, Mercedes led the pack with 28,255 sales, followed by BMW with 26,271 sales.

Canada

Lexus sales were up 9.8% compared to November 2010, thanks to strong sales of the CT 200h and the RX.

Japan

aw man... I hope this doesn't slow Lexus down! They need to give us more variants and not lose faith in the higher-end models/variants!

It's worth noting though BMW only sold 21,521 BMW's.. The figure you have includes Mini sales.. and other brands which represents BMW Group.. And Mercedes sold 27,841 this is because the figure you have also includes the Sprinter vans, which is not appropriate.

To make up 7k units on BMW, Mercedes was pounding that hood with cold hard CASH! BD

Dirty plays at counting the mini  and the sprinter vans......the war now is between the two German boys.  Wait until 2012-2013 LEXUS will prevail as the leader. These guys want the bragging rights that LEXUS has held for over a decade....

The year to date percentage drops look odd to me. Total sales have from 202k to 173k. That Should be around a 14% decrease rather than the 28% it shows in the table.
