2013 Lexus GS F-Sport & GS 450h Teaser Images

Squeezed at the end of the Lexus GS presentation was a quick glimpse at the sport sedan’s hybrid & F-Sport versions — here are the images in wallpaper size, starting with the GS 350 F-Sport:

Not too much is revealed, other than the now-standard F-Sport mesh grille & side badge — the F-Sport edition also looks to be missing the circular foglight, though the area where it should be does seem to be photoshopped dark.

Next up, the GS Hybrid, which reveals even less than the F-Sport teaser:

The 2013 GS 450h will be debuting at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September, and the GS 350 F-Sport will be unveiled at SEMA in November.

Wow nice!! When I compare the official photos to the leaked ones man what a difference.. Looks like a totally different product!! What the hell were those leaked pics??
Y
Too bad the Hybrid's grille is the not-so-exited one ... I meant I love the F-Sports one , it's perfection ! Edit : Both picture had appear on most of other car websites but no one realize they're teaser picture !
C
I noticed that the GS looks different in the first photo released in the first set of GS photos. For the 2nd one, yea! It's a blue emblem, so it's a hybrid version!

Luv the front fascia, cool looking and very aggressive but those rims... why they don't put some 5 spokes, very bold, rims? with star design or somethin? I mean like those used by bmw on the M6. Cuz I'm crazy for those kind of rims, not an enthiusiast of the thin spokes.
L
The GS 450h in f-sport trim sounds like a winner to me!

Is the bar horizontally dividing the grill on the F-Sport partially blacked out or is it just an effect caused by the lighting?
    Y
    I think it's light-source effect .

Does it ? Wait ... I'm going to see back the article . :P

I've found the MotorTrend article suggesting a partially blacked out bar. Also interesting is the V10 engine rumor for the GS F, especially considering that chief engineer Kanamori didn't deny it outright. http://wot.motortrend.com/lexus-gs-f-350-to-get-available-lfa-v-10-power-109463.html

so imagine a car that do 0-100 in 5.8 with 3.5L what it can do with 4.8 V10 engine

I hate the LED fog lights on Mercedes.. Lexus as usual has the best aesthetic and execution, like the LED running lights.. Merc, Audi etc look cheap and gimmick where as the Lexus ones look fine and elegent..

Motor Trend starting the following rumor: Lexus GS-F V-10 Possible Not only was the long-awaited GS350 finally shown in the flesh, but the Lexus GS chief engineer hinted that the F Sport variants of the GS have a strong possibility of being equipped with the same 4.8-liter V-10 that is used in the LFA supercar.BD

Expect a price similar to the M5, which will be upper-$80's BD

the power plant alone is worth around $75,000! if at all the make a V10 version, expect it to be around $140,000

see it may cost $140,000 if you make 500 engines but if you make 2500 may cost around half the price which is $70,000 so if Lexus use it in GS , and the next LS as BC magazine clued in Jan  that means they can manage to make 12500 unit ,  which is theoretically make the unit cost around $35,000   and i do not think 12500 unit from LFA , LS , GS and may be SC for 6 years is hard to achieve

those 500 make the engine special.. they can make 12000 units easily but eventually people will lose interest it  but they can make a GS-F special edition with the engine and its a sure sell for 100+ grand

I don't think the engine will suffer from the higher production figures. Just have a look at Mercedes-AMG's 6.3-liter engine. They had that one in almost every AMG model (that is until the new twin-turbo mill debuted) and have a higher spec version in the SLS. And still that engine managed to stay special. I think 12'500 units should be attainable when Lexus decides to squeeze that engine all across their upper range (LFA, LS-F, GS-F, SC-F). And that is something that would radically transform Lexus's bland image over night.

My suggestions would be: GS F: Supercharge the ISF's 5.0 V8 and offer as a coupe only. Jag's XF -R 510hp should be a target too.GS F sport: Supercharge the 3.5 V6 or ISF's 5.0 V8. GSh: 450: the nice guy's GS. Save the V10 for the SC F! I see nobody has even suggested a large sunroof or panaroof option??? Anyone want a more affordable GS 250 in North America?
    Y
GS F-Sport still be stay in 3.5-liter V6 ... while GS F is NOT a good idea if it's Coupe only , because it's opponent is a Sports Sedan , like E63 AMG .

I can't wait till the GS-F comes out, the obvious choice for the engine will be same variant as the LFA. It will probably more efficient and more powerful than what the LFA has under its hood.  I hope it will be a V12 or v16 like the Bugatti.
