Paddle Shifters Offered on Japanese Lexus CT 200h F-Sport

Japanese car site Car@Nifty has posted up a Lexus CT 200h F-Sport photo gallery, and it looks like the JDM CT F-Sport will be equipped with paddle shifters:

From my understanding, the paddle-shifters will only be offered in Japan, which would explain why there was no mention of the option when the CT F-Sport debuted last week at the Australian auto show. Of course, the CT 200h is equipped with a CVT and all gear changes would be simulated, so it’s hard to say just how useful the paddle-shifters would really be.

Beyond that, there’s also some additional photos of a Lexus CT 200h F-Sport package in Silvery Blue — here’s a sampling:

Really liking the F-Sport wheels:

It'll looks better if there's bumper like this one http://lexusenthusiast.com/images/weblog/10-10-14-lexus-ct-200h-f-sport-package.jpg

Crew, I don't think the light blue CT has the F-SPort package. Compare its bumper to the USB CT

That ... or Japan doesn't get the "upgraded" bumper that USDM CT's get..

The color of the side mirror in the first pic matches the rest of the pics, so most likely the JDM CT200h F-sport doesn't have the aggressive bumper that the US gets.

Thant... and I missed that it has a F-Sport badge on the side!! Guess this is one time UDDM > JDM 8-)

I think this is one of those cases in which customers in Japan can choose whatever they prefer. They can get leather on the dash of a standard LS or choose not to pay for it on the hybrid LS.

Why is that? I wonder why Japan gets so many more options than we do in the US. Kind of odd when you think about the fact that the US is their largest market. Not to get off topic but since you brought it up, the LS isn't available in the US with a leather dash at all? Perhaps I've mistaken but i'm almost sure i've seen LS460's with the lower portion of the dash covered in leather. Do they still have anything like the Ultra Luxury package that was available on the LS430?

@James: Yes, the Ls460 is available with the lower portion leather-wrapped, but on the 600hl, the entire dash is leather wrapped, all the way up to the firewall

I like the USB CT version better. What a difference with simply an upgraded bumper alone. @Clode Thanks for the video. They should have kept the front bumper and headlamp like that CT concept in the video. So much bolder. Or at least give that design to the next IS. Would be awesome.

@James: If you get the executive seating package on the LS460L the lower part of the dash is leather. The upper portion of the dash it only covered in leather on the LS600hL

@RDS: I know the JP market does have weirder taste, but what does that have to do with some of the basic features offered in Japan but not in the US. For example, the RX has always been offered with a panoramic sunroof in Japan, but not in the US until 2011. The LS is available with an all leather dash (lower and upper portions) in Japan but not here. The Japanese IS can come with a wood steering wheel, and even more relevant to this article, the CT will be available with paddle shifters in Japan but apparently not elsewhere. So do they think that the entire western world doesn't like panoramic sunroofs, wood steering wheels, all leather dashes, or paddle shifters? Honestly, I think certain Lexus models would sell much better if they would give the US and European versions the same features as the Japanese versions.

Other differences include shark-fin antenna, floor (instead of hand) parking brake, and cloth seating surfaces.

@James : Sometime ... Japanese would only keep the best for their own . Sometime ... it's maybe most Lexus buyer don't like those option . Not only Lexus but JP Toyota more option compare with US Toyota .
