Saw the ES Hybrid at Lexus Of Pembroke Pines today, not bad!
"Stolen" is quite stupid and does nothing for the car, IMO. It's all dark and fast shots of the car in motion.

"Why bother" is more on-brand and appropriate, IMO. However, it's incredibly wordy... just like some of those post-launch LS spots.

They should have done something focusing on the design, the new platform, the luxury features and then a specific commercial (not "stolen") for the F Sport.
Very nice commercials. The second commercial "Why Bother" was filmed on the streets of Glendale, CA. I totally recognized the buildings, streets and background...good job Lexus!!!
I liked both ads. "Stolen" is very much in the vein of other recent car ads where it's an action montage. At least they give a flimsy reason for it to be that way, unlike similar ads for other makers. "Why Bother" is what the LS commercials should have been. Constant repetition of the theme helps prevent the message from derailing mid-ad like it did in the LS spots.
These are a little better IMO:

These are much more like the Steve Jobs ideal of ads - show the product doing things for people, don't rattle off specs.

I'd like the announcer from the first ad to be the next global voice of Lexus. And that bass drop should play every time you load Lexus Enthusiast. (Actually, never mind that last part).
Getting better:

I really want to love this car. It looks absolutely stunning, inside and out. I honestly cannot think of a better looking sedan right now. I mean the LS is a fine machine, but this is just proportioned better imho. But I just cannot bring myself to loving it it. Everytime I see it and I feel let down by the FWD. I mean, if I really wanted one, I could live with FWD because it really doesn't matter 80% of the time in the real world. But what is worse that the FWD is the fleet centric marketing offering in Australia (no F-sport, no V6). That is the really sad part. Im sure the hybrid is a good engine. But the V6 is just so much better. And if i can afford one of these, I can darn well afford the petrol to keep it running. I just hope the next IS will be the full range and not limited like the ES.

Interesting the way the transport anchors in the front bumper are exposed and the center wheel caps are off ... lending credence to the fact the cars are in the final stages of production/quality control.

Because in a lot of areas (such as my driveway about 2 weeks ago), AWD is more of a must-have than a nice thing. My AWD LS was going uphill on ice no problem while large heavy delivery trucks refused to attempt it. I can absolutely see Australia being one of those places.
@Ian Schmidt ok sir you win this time!!
