TLE Issues Resolved

TLE Problems

Regular readers may have noticed some general weirdness with TLE since its move to Wordpress a couple days ago — unfortunately, with a site move of this size, there were a number of unforeseen issues, including some problems with viewing articles and leaving comments.

I’m happy to say that the most of these problems have been taken care of. If you experienced any problems with the site over these past couple days, I thank you for your patience as I worked out the kinks. There should be no further issues, and things should be getting back to normal.

If you have any issues at all, please be sure to refresh the browser. If that doesn’t resolve the problem, please leave a comment or send me a quick email and let me know what went wrong.

(Now I can finally concentrate on writing about my LFA adventure!)

Sincerely,

Kevin R.E. Watts

Lexus Enthusiast 6.0

Welcome to The Lexus Enthusiast 6.0!

Now running on the Wordpress platform, this new edition of TLE was made necessary due to reasons too numerous and technical to mention, but rest assured, the switchover will be well worth it.

The most obvious change is the content slider at the top of the homepage, which should make it easier to feature the most interesting recent news — there are plenty of other small detail changes, but for the most part this move was about making the site simpler to run.

Right now, there’s some issues with the model pages, which I’m working hard to resolve — it’s also possible other things might be broken here and there, if you see any problems, please leave a comment!

(Re)Introducing the New TLE Comment Moderator

Dan's AvatarMuch to my excitement, The Lexus Enthusiast community has been growing steadily over the last few months. There’s now dozens of frequent commenters with diverse insight and strong opinions, and it’s been one of my favorite things to watch as the site builds in popularity.

In order to best serve this community, I’ve asked frequent contributor Dan to help me moderate and respond to the hundreds of new comments the site gets every week. Dan has been involved with this site since its very beginning (all the way back to The Passionate Pursuit days), and I was very happy when he agreed to assist me in making sure all of your comments and questions are answered. Thanks Dan!
