While looking for an image to use with the previous post, I came across this fantastic Lexus LFA concept wallpaper from Top Gear, and just had to post it:

Still love those headlights — funny how the LED strip is being added to the rest of the lineup, but not to the production LFA .

This week’s Autocar review of a 1990 LS 400 reminded me of a desktop wallpaper I’ve had sitting on my computer for quite some time:

I had featured a very similar image some time back, which still stands as one of my favorite Lexus desktop wallpapers of all time — here it is again:

The transition from that first generation LS 400 through to the LS 460 is dramatic, but there’s a clear & natural progression that brings the LS a striking continuity. I would love to find similar images of all the Lexus models.

During my trip to the Lexus F-Sport event in New Jersey, I took over 600 photos — including 350 of the LFA alone — so I thought I would share my favorite three images as desktop wallpapers:

Photographing the LFA is an absolute blast — it jumps out of every shot.

I’m putting the final polish on the writeup of my Lexus LFA driving experience last week, but in the meantime I wanted to share one of the photos from Christian Thomas, who was the resident photographer at the event — check out this beautiful LFA photo:

One of the interesting things about the white LFA at the NJ event is that it was once the matte black LFA! The supercar was repainted and reupholstered for an upcoming commercial — and get this, the whole job only took two days.

Update: Turns out the LFA wasn’t reupholstered — I’ve updated the post.

I haven’t been able to take my eyes off the official Lexus LFA photos released last week, the macro shots in particular, so I cropped a selection of images for desktop wallpapers:

I’m still trying to wrap my head around the LFA, particularly in how it affects the Lexus brand on a whole. This puts F-Sport into an entirely different stratosphere, and it’s going to be very interesting to see LFA technology trickle down into next-generation IS-F & the potential GS-F.
