Video: Designing the Lexus LS Kiriko Glass Interior Trim

One of the standout interior features in the new Lexus LS is the Kiriko glass interior trim, and here we have a video detailing its creation:

A world first for a production vehicle, it’s a perfect example of how Lexus is using Japanese craftsmanship to create innovative elegance.

Masters of Kiriko worked closely with Lexus designers and engineers to replicate the hand-carved appearance of their glasswork. Traditional Kiriko patterns are created by hand cutting clear colours and delicate lines in the glass, which is then repeatedly polished to a soft glow.

Really amazing --- I mean the craftsmanship and the visual cues . It does take LS to the next level. And the video is great too.

Awesome interior, but am I the only one to notice the different placement of the memory seat buttons in the picture and in the video? I much prefer the former.

Pretty sure the video is pure CGI, and it's probably based on older prototype.
