Lexus June 2014 Sales Report

USA

Lexus USA has reported 23,518 total sales for June 2014, a 19.3% improvement over last year — here’s the model-by-model breakdown:

Total Trucks 10,462 9,822 15.4 59,521 52,249 14.7
Total Sales 23,518 21,355 19.3 138,689 118,415 17.9

Please note, all percentages are calculated by the Daily Sales Rate (DSR), which takes into account the number of days in the month that dealerships could sell cars. June 2014 had 24 selling days, June 2013 had 26 selling days.

Overall, the month had some very positive results, with most models showing an healthy increase over 2013 — in fact, Lexus reports this was the most successful June since 2007.

Broken record time, but the IS & GX continue on their hot streak with triple digit growth for the sixth straight month. Both the RX & ES show gains as well, good news for two core models in the lineup.

With half the year in the books, Lexus is on pace for a very good 2014 — the 17.9% percentage gain over 2013 is one of the biggest jumps in the automotive industry. With two new models coming by the end of the year, things are looking bright.

The ES has to be blamed for that, but don't worry, the GS is not going anywhere.

i still don't know the role of ES in the new LEXUS strategy to be a high end luxury sport car maker so ES is out and honestly hope this will be the last generation for the CT, i don't want any LEXUS near not even 30K but 35K leaving all the near luxury for TOYOTA

I was checking the audi sales and the A6 did not so much better than the GS: 2,191 units and 11,910 YTD vs 1,511 and 10,122 YTD. Very close numbers as you can see, (althought the GS lack of the SW version) and both very far from E Classe and 5 Series.

I thought they were all built already? Didn't they make a big deal about LFA number 500 rolling off the assembly line?

Seems the "LFAs all sold" a year ago wasn't true after all.

The magic performed on the GX was cutting the pricing by about $4000. So the last thing Lexus needs is more of that magic.

Not unless they do something about that butt-ugly "spindle" front end styling...
