Lexus Announces Recall on 2009 Model Year HS 250h For Braking Issue

Lexus has announced a voluntary safety recall for HS 250h models made between June and October 2009.

The recall is due to a brake pressure accumulator that may develop a fatigue crack and release nitrogen gas into the brake fluid, resulting in greater stopping distances. There have been no reports of any accidents or injuries due to this issue.

Approximately 5,030 HS 250hs are affected in the USA — owners will notified by mail, and the three-hour repair will be performed without charge at local dealerships.
