Potential Colors for the New Lexus IS

Curious about the possible colors for the new Lexus IS? My friend Joaquin over at My.IS has some extensive thoughts on what Lexus might have planned.

(An IS in Starlight Black sounds like a winner to me.)

That was an excellent write-up, thanks Joaquin.

The prototype 3rd-gen IS we’ve seen bared leather with perforated “L’s” that was a neat design cue, one which I hope makes it to production in at least the F-Sport models.

I think that having F-Sport only colors is a great choice, but to really make a statement on how the LFA impacted the Lexus brands sport line there should be LFA inspired F-Sport colors, or better yet IS-F only LFA colors. Such as the Yellow, Orange, Sunset Orange, Fresh Green, Pearl Blue, or even Matte Black. Obviously my opinion is way out there, and I would normally say no to crazy colours for the IS to keep it luxurious, but why not add a little flavour to the F-line now and then.

What are your guys thoughts on something like this?

I’m all for bolder colours. Choice is an integral part of my personal definition of luxury,which is why I’d love to see a greater variety of colours to chose from,as well as more model variations.
