If that is true, as much as I hate to say it (and as much as I love LFA more than any car in the world), that Hybrid Supra will fail. It simply would be an oxymoron. Horsepower numbers through a hybrid drivetrain do not make for an exciting and thrilling car to drive.

Nah! It's just the CVT that ruins the fun! Imagine the cost of breaking it from shifting too much through its artificially-set gear ratios! I'd love for the electric motors to show me the torque! (The mismatched engine noise with the acceleration would be quite dizzying.)

Lots of other annoying things such as, electric motor buzzing sound (listened to Tesla in real life), very heavy weight of the hybrid system, artificial engine response and very uneven powerband.

Oh yeah. That whining. I thought they said hybrids were silent. :P

New video of Lexus LFA with Scott Pruett using launch control system of the LFA for a 0 - 90 mph sprint. This is finally the proof that Lexus is not a liar. LFA can indeed hit 0 - 60 in only 3.2 seconds ofcourse with its launch control system on a grippy surface. Too bad almost all of the journalists were never allowed to use the launch control system on the the press car LFAs: http://www.clublexus.com/forums/lfa-model/610447-scott-pruett-demonstrates-lfa-launch-control-system-on-a-perfect-surface.html

Ofcourse, the time estimate is with the typical assumption of 1-foot roll out that magazines and drag strips use to measure time.

Somehow, my previous post did not show up. Anyway, here is a video of Scott Pruett using LFA's launch control system for a 0 - 85 mph sprint. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/lfa-model/610447-scott-pruett-demonstrates-lfa-launch-control-system-on-a-perfect-surface.html Ofcourse, this shows LFA can hit 0 - 60 mph in 3.2 - 3.4 seconds with its launch control system and on a grippy surface. It proves Lexus was not lying when they said LFA can do 0 - 60 mph in under 3.6 seconds. Too bad most of the journalists were not allowed to use the launch control system of the LFA on the press cars.

I wonder if this is a sold unit?  Or is it another dealer owner order?
