First Look at 2013 Lexus GS 450h LED Headlights

The actual Auto Express preview of the 2013 Lexus GS prototypes may be short on details, but their accompanying photo gallery provides plenty of insight into the next-generation GS, including our first look at the hybrid LED headlights:

Let’s zoom in:

The production LEDs are an impressive final design that retains the Lexus hybrid three-ring character — not quite the LF-Gh headlights, but similar enough to keep the look.

Another photo from the gallery shows the GS 250 (and its possible wheel design) in the background:

Also included is this closeup of the GS 250h front grille:

Lastly, there’s this super-clear shot of the rear:

I’d say the European GS prototypes have less camouflage, the car’s lines & features seem barely contained and it makes it much easier to imagine what’s happening under all that vinyl.

The DRLs weren't what I expected... Love the exhaust, tail lights, diffuser and the overall front fascia. Is it me or is there a bar in the grille?

Can't see much on rear light , but headlights is 85% expose ... and the GS250 grille is quite noob , but good for a GS250 which is entry level .

I don't think that the LEDs are separate "dots", it looks to me like it's just camouflage that's making them look like that.

The DRLs are huge, but I was hoping they were camouflage cut outs. I LOVE the exhaust. Even after Buick, Hyundai, and other manufactures have jumped on the integrated exhaust bandwagon, Lexus still executes them far better than the others

I am with you JB----Love the exhaust--they are very LS like-----the copiers as youstated do not do a very good job imitating the LS.

I believe those large LED(s) are holes cut out in the black tape camo... see the ones on the rear lights too? Hopefully, it will be one continuous sweep... I've never liked the Christmas Tree Light look of the Audi(s).

There are two different GS models. If you look at the license plate, the numbers are different. I think the grille with the bars is the normal GS model while the one with the mesh grille is the hybrid since it has the LED headlights.

Which is why the article said one is GS450h and another one is GS250h (suppose to be GS250 though) .
