In the end, Yamauchi-san and the World Car Award team finished 59th overall — certainly a respectable result given the car troubles and their original starting position.
(In a funny coincidence, I’ve been obsessively driving an IS F around Nürburgring in GT5 myself lately — maybe once I put in 1,000 laps, I’ll get a chance at the real thing as well.)
