Two Lexus Models in US Federal Fuel Economy Top Ten

Here’s something — The US Environmental Protection Agency has released its Top 10 Fuel Economy Leaders for 2011, and two Lexus models made the cut.

The HS 250h placed fifth with a 35 mpg average, and the RX 450h FWD ranked ninth at 30 mpg, which is impressive given the SUV’s size and power. The Toyota Prius took the top spot with its 50 mpg average.

For the full list, check out the EPA website.

Nice. and yeah... Thank goodness Lexus didn't have to go very cheap on luxuries and power to achieve such a recogition.

Too bad the CT hadn't been tested yet. With 42 mpg it would have placed second, right behind the Prius. :-)

that list is not complete. the Camry hybrid is missing and it gets roughly the same mpg as the HS, and definitely better than the RX
