Live Lexus CT 200h Interior Photos

I just received a massive stack of Lexus CT 200h photos in my inbox, including some pics of a wonderful beige Ecru leather interior with a bamboo (?) wood trim — look at this (click for a larger image):

That sliver of wood really sets the whole thing off — I’m extremely impressed with how this interior looks in a lighter shade, it really highlights the blend between Lexus luxury and that European sensibility. Expertly done.

Next up is this black interior done up with NuLuxe fabric and minus the Remote Touch & navigation:

Lexus CT 200h Nuluxe Black Interior

This is our first peek and the first mention of a base model NuLuxe interior cloth interior, let’s take a closer look:

I like the suede-look to the fabric, though it does soften up the look of the interior somewhat. Regardless, this interior option is directed almost expressly at Europe, where cloth is the norm in base models.

There’s a few more interior images to share, here’s the rest:

CT 200h exterior photos (including more like this) to come shortly!

Update: Have a major correction to make, the black fabric interior is not the NuLuxe material we’ve been hearing about, but a fabric trim level almost certainly reserved for European markets. Here’s a direct quote from the email I received:

NuLuxe is a synthetic leather, with a smooth, soft, leathery surface. In the U.S., we will offer either NuLuxe or genuine Leather. Europe and some other markets are looking at fabric for their entry level vehicles. The image you have is one of the fabric alternatives.

lexusjoe wrote:@krew..I agree with the comment on “blend of Lexus luxury and European sensibility…the light interior almost looks like a BMW interior, but Nicer!! The Nu-Luxe looks like the Escaine interior the old IS300’s had, like “Josh” said…all in all, this is WAY better than the HS250h. Hopefully this model will REPLACE the HS250h. Lexus needs to cut their losses and move on.
+1. The HS250h just look awkward. I tried to like it from the beginning, but it still doesn't look pleasing. It doesn't have that sleek, proportional, and finesse style of others L-finesse models. I think Lexus just want to increase their hybrids count. The HS250h is all about hybrids. The CT200h is the real hybrid that actually looks sporty and aggressive.

@JVX: aha looks like I'm the only Lexus fan here who hated the HS with passion and hated it even more when one passed by me at an intersection because it looked like a boxy-thingy standy on its tippy-toes. But then, I began liking it after I saw a picture of it in black, saw another picture of it with exaggerated front wheel arches, saw it in person while standing up high, and finally saw one sitting down but ignored the wheels and below.

@JVX: oh, and to add on to what I said above, I also liked the video of the HS when in was introduced in a contest on Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien because the dude in the car was small, and the car's wheel arches looked bigger than usual, making the whole vehicle look really wide, aggressive, sleek and sporty (with the help of good lighting). I also liked how the interior looked in this one Japanese video with a warm, beige-like color to contrast the black; I almost couldn't see the weird transition between the buttress below the center dash and the transmission tunnel cover. A thing I've always liked about the HS is the wood on the door armrests - very thick, stiff, and sturdy, like the wood on a Rolls Royce. The switches are nicer and more intuitive than most Lexus models', and also, that single piece of plastic around the door handles and memory seat buttons (speakers in the back) is nice and clean - hopefully it's soft-touch plastic. I like the taillights, but I don't like how the actual lights don't follow the aggressive pattern of the cluster when they're turned on.

OK, now it's really clear that those are, indeed, Smoky Granite Mica (dark gray) and Brown Spice Mica. Thanks for posting these, Seal.

@FreeSpirit: Last I heard the CT will start in the low 30's. Even if it was priced around 28k or 29k, the NuLuxe interior makes the CT look like a hatchback priced alongside the VW Golf. I think Lexus is aiming the CT more at the Audi A3 and BMW 1 Series which have better looking base interior fabric. Anyhoo I was worried it wouldn't be offered with a sunroof, but I'm glad these photos clearly show that a sunroof will be available :)

The NuLuxe interior reminds me of the "escaine" (sp?) they used in the first generation IS300. Pretty much looks identical. I don't mind that being an option too if it'll make it more affordable for more people. However, I'm not sure I really like the interior all that much outside of the NuLuxe. It looks sort of cheap. Had a new model RX loaner a few months back and I thought it was a little cheap looking and feeling as well.

I really DO NOT like the fact that ever color option has the BLACK dash/steering wheel.. etc. To me the large contrast looks terrible and a more suitable complimenting color should be used for the dash when Brown/Beige leathers/clothes are desired. The Audi A4 has options like this at least. Also.. The CT has only 7 colors. Two of which are kind of off the wall brown and yellow. The others are standard colors. The BMW 3 series offers 13 colors.. 4 of which are Blue! The CT has NO blue color options.. duh!! Lexus is becoming very boring and not much of a luxury car maker.. Wish it weren't true.. I would really like to get this CT... hmmm R:)

Well, since I can't stand leather which is hot in the summer and cold in the winter, I guess I can delete this car from my shopping list. That leaves a Prius, Fiat 500 Cabrio or Mazda3 hatchback. Good times.

Hi Kay -- you might want to check out the NuLuxe material that's being offered with the CT, it's like leather but might work better for you.
