Lexus LFA Takes SP8 Class in 57th ADAC Nürburgring Race


This weekend, the Gazoo Lexus LFA race car took part in the 57th ADAC Westfalenfahrt four-hour race at Nürburgring, where it took 28th place overall and first in the SP8 class. Some photos from the race:

The racing team of Iida Akira, Wakisaka Juichi, & Ohshima Kazuya overcame a first lap pitstop and a resulting fall to P143 to emerge top in its class, making this the third consecutive year the Lexus LFA has done so.

  1. The LFA has the lively, hi-revving shriek; the IS F has its deep growl; the LS has its lively howl in Sport mode; the LX sounds like a monstrous machine! What more could you possibly ask for?!

  2. i was waiting for an article about this. I couldn’t watch it but i tried my best to keep up to date on it. Fell asleep when it was taking place but the next day i found out it won it’s class by beating the Corvette. It actually placed just ahead of the pole sitter Black Falcon R8 LMS. The fastest lap time for the LFA was 8:44 compared to 8:22 for the fastest of the race by the BMW M3 GT (GT2). Lexus Europe on twitter has more details, the followed the race pretty closely.
