Lexus LFAs Sold for SGD$1.25M in Singapore

According to the Business Times, Singapore’s allocation of 2 Lexus LFA supercars has been “sold at speed of light” – being spoken for even before the price was announced. Lexus Borneo Singapore received deposits of SGD$80,000 shortly after the Chinese Lunar New Year holidays from two undisclosed customers. The LFA’s price in Singapore has since been announced as SGD$1.25 million, which is approximately equivalent to US$893,300. With sixteen prospective customers expressing interest, Lexus executives in Singapore hope to increase their country’s allocation of the Japanese supercar.
Who are the lucky future LFA owners? Lexus’ Singapore head William Choo would not disclose their names, but did reveal the following: both are “very successful businessmen but very unassuming”, “run their own companies”, are in their 60s, and “are very low profile and do not want to be identified.” Other details: one is a longtime owner of Lexus LS sedans, the other has had multiple Lexus vehicles, and both own Porsche and Ferrari models.

Lucky rich bastards lol
I wonder what options/colors they got
RIDICULOUS! Stupid people. Who the hell wants a gussied up toyota.
Even though that in this day in age and in this price range, a vehicle is expected to have leather and all the most exotic materials, yet I’m still very impressed by the LFA’s interior.
And now the LS… The new A8 and the new XJ in particular are full of leather. The S-class and 7-series can also with a large extra sum. I think it’s the LS’s turn, and at the same time, the LSh can move onto better ceilings, nicer buttons or switches, or wool carpets - remember that wool doesn’t kill sheep.
How about more people than the entire LFA production run?
@Gabedaman: The same reason some one would want a gussied up Volkswagen or Fiat I guess. Think about Lamboghini and Ferrari being owned by VW and Fiat, respectively.
If the LFA is a gussied up Toyota, what’s the Audi R8? A gussied up VW?
hehe… the Bentley models are actually gussied up VW! with its FWD-based AWD system!
But man, Gabedaman got it all wrong. The most Toyota-ish thing about the LFA is the Nav, and that’s all.
I think that could probably go the other way—the most Lexus-ish thing about Toyotas is the Nav.
Yeah, aha, you’re right. The quality of the latest Navs is amazing.
I’d say the most Toyota-ish thing about the LFA is how it in every way is a modern day 2000GT,and that’s why I love it beyond words!:-)
