VAISTech Releases Lexus VLine LED Lights
VAIS Technology, makers of the premier Lexus iPod integration kits, have announced that their VLine LED light kit is now for sale—here are some photos:

LED daytime running lights are finding their way into all sorts of cars since Audi pioneered the look—the 2010 LS is even sporting a similar strip. Best part about these VAIS V-Line is that they don’t require disassembling the headlights but can still be synchronized with the turn signals, making this more than just a stick-on row of LEDS.

Disclosure: VAIS Technology is a long-time sponsor of The Lexus Enthusiast.

I feel like I have seen this in here before.
@Stan: same.
I saw a 2010 LS drive by with stock LED strip and it looks great in person.
This Vaistech looks cool but I wonder what those Audi guys are gonna think if they see this!
I did post about these lights back in July of 2009, when VAIS was still gauging customer interest. They are now officially for sale.
I also updated the post to reflect that VAIS Technology has been a long-time sponsor of The Lexus Enthusiast, just to make my conflict of interest clear.
looks like the R8 is affecting Lexus styling
This looks quite cool. I can’t install something like this myself… any clues on how I can find a place that will install this for me?
Yeah, it’s harder than it seems. Removing the bumper to access the headlamps. Then using the oven to open up the headlamps. It’s not as easy as plug and play. You probably have to pay for the kit and the labor.
Why would you want to copy Audi design? I’ve seen lots of vendors with BMW’s angel eyes too. You got to be original. The LED strip has to match the flow and interior design of the IS headlamp.
I’ve tried both the Audi and BMW design on my IS and it doesn’t look right. So, I decided to make my own design layout instead.
IS250 Headlamp LED Retrofit
The pics doesn’t do justice. The LED appears flat, but as you know the IS headlamps and bumper have lots of curves and depth. It looks better in person. I just hope vendor make better original design for each car.
@JVX: That’s pretty awesome, but I just can’t help thinking about the picture with your front bumper taken off - I just want to make that into a piece of furniture or sculpture or something.
@WorldofLuxury:
I was a little scare taking off the bumper and the headlamps; don’t know if I could get everything back to the way it was. But finally got everything done.
Whether you buy the aftermarket kit or do it yourself, it’s more involving than it seems. As you know, taking things out is much easier than putting them back.
THATS AWESOME!
@JVX: That’s fantastic! Well done!
