Lexus LS 460 Sport Photos from Australia
Lexus Australia has just released what has to be considered the best LS 460 Sport photos since the vehicle’s introduction, including a good look at the new daytime running light design:

My initial disappointment with the Sport grille design has subsided to a point where I may be going the other way. I would have preferred some chrome highlights, but it adds to athletic look of the wheels and aero-parts. Looking forward to seeing it in person.

Still not a fan of the grille, what’s with all the ‘X’s on it ? But the wheels look superb, will be difficult to clean though.
@LEXUSBOY: I would have liked something a little closer to the IS F design. Love that grille.
The LSh steering wheel minus the leather and stitching is interesting.
I hope the matte cover on the clock and temperature cover is just for the Sport model. That area and with the Nav on top reminds me of the Rolls Royce Ghost’s gauges.
....
1) Needs to be lower…ride does Lexus cars ride do high?
2) Needs wider tires -__-
3) Need to see it in black
I love the exterior styling but the matte finish wood on the interior just doesn’t do much for me. I like the leather combo but I wish the wood was polished like the other LS models.
@James: Needs leather on the dash too! Then, it would be much worth the price hike although the black, single-tone interior makes the leather on dash reasonably unnecessary for the Sport model, but if there were to be an F, then leather would be a MUST (available as an option at the very least)!
@WorldofLuxury: If it does turn into a an F model, it would certainly have to have all leather as standard. I don’t think they could even get away with just having it as an option.
I like it but for some reason it doesnt look much more sporty than the original one, IMO.
@WorldofLuxury: @James: I don’t care for the matte finish wood either, it looks too fake. It would’ve been better if they had given it the full gloss treatment. Why doesn’t Lexus let customers select the wood of our choice, for eg in the 2010 LSh if you opt for the Alabaster interior color you’re forced to accept this same matte wood trim, instead of choosing the wood of our choice which both Merc & BMW allows. Also full leather dash should be an option on the 460, at least the L model.
@LEXUSBOY: Even though I love the LS as it is, they could do a lot more to make it look better.
First off, Lexus should allow for it’s customers to select what wood they like. I didn’t realize that on the ‘10 LSh, matte wood was the only option with the Alabaster interior. I can’t imagine that looking right in a $100k+ luxo-barge.
Why doesn’t Lexus just raise the price of the LS about $10k and make an all leather dash standard? You might loose a few current customers but they’d steal some customers from Merc and BMW. Even if the base price is $80k, thats equal to that of the 7-series and still $10k less than the S-class.
