As part of their North American LFA press event in Miami, Lexus gave the journalists the opportunity to experience a hot lap around the Homestead Speedway with an experienced race car driver behind the wheel—here’s footage from two such runs:
Love the interior sound, especially now that I know it was tuned by musicians.

YOU’VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!
LOOK AT THIS:

I first recognized it from this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7aI4DAjoJQ&feature=rec-HM-fresh+div
I’ve been able to recognize every HS I’ve seen in my city, mainly because of its awkward conspicuousness, especially how it looked like it were this floating thing with a high, boxy rear end, tip-toeing on its teeny tiny wheels. And when I watched that video, despite the few seconds the video actually focused on it, I was immediately able to recognize that Toyota has been messing with Lexus again…
I’ve also been looking at some old Toyota Celsior pictures. Most of them had nasty interiors with an awkward last-minute appearance in the dash portion of the center console. That is a big insult to the LS! And what’s even more insulting is that despite the uglier interiors, some Celsiors had much more and, of course, better interior options than what was available in the LS in the US, like all those buttons hiding under the rear seat center armrest.
How do the Toyota executives sleep at night?
OMG! I am like right at the edge right now…
When I bought my LX, which is still getting fixed, it was the most expensive car Toyota had to offer in the US. But then… I saw the exact same steering in a Toyota Sienna. And today, I saw another one in a Toyota Camry - the owner said he purchased it new from a Toyota dealer at only $17k!!! (My LX was more than $80k before painstaking negotiations!!!) oh… and all the other buttons, controls, and other stuff were also virtually identical to my LX’s!
Oh well. I guess that really is what I deserve for buying a Lexus sometimes.
