The car is unbelievably good looking in that video.
Although, it would’ve been more “normal” to see Jay Leno introduce the car. Conan doesn’t look like he gives a d***. lol, but I like his childish sarcasm.

whats funny is if somebody wins both this AND the win an HS for a year contest
Conan would be one of those interesting fans of a certain brand. lol
If I were crazy, I’d tell Lexus that I like the tiny triangular window upfront, and they should start making use of the whole front heavy look by moving the engine to the back!
The HS pictures on Lexus.com aren’t bad, but the interior is still an obvious result of cost cutting.

Well, at least Lexus managed to still use real leather. Semi-aniline, by any chance?
It’s just that the dash and center console looks like something I drew back in elementary school (the practical ones

Anyways, I realized that leather is really part of a high-priced option in the RX! Even though dealers seem to prefer the leather option, I’m worried that Lexus might give up on it altogether… I’m just not ready for that.
you can’t be serious mate…the finest luxury car of all time…give up leather? just when stupid cars like kia start having it? a luxury car always has leather, even if its an option like the RX. sure the center console is weird, but this is a hardcore hybrid, and no offense but i’ve sort of noticed that hybrid lovers don’t car about looks…e.g. the prius

yeah they wont get rid of leather. leather is not standard on the IS, ES and RX but part of packages that are ALWAYS included with the car.

Those required packages that add a big sum over the MSRP might annoy some people who check Lexus.com, however.
um im pretty sure that IS and ES are standard.
yeah, but when it comes to the raw hybrid market, there’s alot of weird people, and frankly they just don’t care about looks. but i know for sure that the celebrities driving prius’ are gonna buy this Lexus. heck, maybe conan’ll buy one himself
scratch the IS, but the RX and ES definately do not come with leather standard. they come with black fabric. but you will never see one on the road
I like how the audience “ooohs” and “Ahhhhs” over the new HS. Sorry if I sound like a snob but it goes to show you that Lexus has an image as good as Mercedes or BMW.

But it looks like a good audience. My friend went on one of Jay Leno’s Tonight Show filming a couple months ago, and he got bored of doing the same ooo’s and applauds over and over and over again.
I bet the reaction would be much better if they showed the LF-Xh in matte black by mistake.

I’m liking the pictures! The aggressive taillights look better here. The concave portion above the taillights look more natural.
However, that front view picture of the HS… I liked the one they had on the Lexus Hybrid facebook site where the pov was a bit higher, and the vehicle looked much more aggressive… it’s fender flares bulging out and all!
Btw, I like how the carpet and the surrounding “wall” carpeting are completely black - shiny, or rather. Like that of the new Bimmer 7, the black tone lets it stay clean, so I don’t have to opt for the all-weather floormats.
as it turns out… the lower half of the interior will be all black no matter what. That’s a good, practical choice by Lexus.
I like extensive use of dual-tone interiors, but I hate it when it gets dirty ...and I have to use my special carpet cleaner.
I think LEXUSaddict is right, offering vehicles without leather is because some people just don’t like it. There’s no way any luxury car company would drop leather, that is, until there’s a synthetic material that’s identical.

yeah but that’s the problem though…“synthetic”...that means no more new car smell and those fancy little tags on the inside of Lexus saying “real leather”.

oh the days when James Sloyan said “Lexus genuine leather, genuine bubinga wood, genuine Lexus gold…” ...hehe exaggerated some of that
I think that James Remar is only good for the RX’s techs, but mediocre for the IS F. Those Mitsubishi ads with Sloyan’s voice aren’t bad. Nothing beats tradition, something that Lexus was establishing but threw away
i actually prefer Remar, Sloyan sounded like he was choking.
